SWTOR Vanguard Talents List – Tactics

The Tactics talent tree helps the Vanguard become more adept at close-range combat. This talent tree is what allows the Vanguard to deal damage. You may find that talents in this tree help the Vanguard tank, and are also good for leveling up and farming.

With that said, here are two SWTOR Vanguard Talents in the Tactics branch we do know about (we will add the rest once the game is released):

Gut: A melee attack which deals damage upfront and then applies a Damage-over-Time (DoT) effect over 6 seconds.

Rapid Surges: Reduces the cooldown of surges by 1.5 seconds and increases their critical hit chance by 6%.

SWTOR Vanguard Talents List – Shield Specialist

The Vanguard is a defensive specialist, and this is its tanking tree. Through this talent tree, the Vanguard is able to pick up a variety of defensive talents which help it tank better. The Vanguard can be a good tank should you pick up a lot of these talents.

You can also create a good Huttball Carrier and defense class by mixing shield Specialist talents with some of the other utility talents from the Assault Specialist tree (the shared Trooper talent tree).

With that said, here is the SWTOR Vanguard talent list for the Shield Specialist tree:

Adrenaline Rush – Increases the health of the Trooper by 30% for 15 seconds. This is just like the Jedi Knight’s ability and is a good tank ability.

Static Shield – Gives you a 10% chance after a block to get a buff that causes your next Pulse Round or Explosive Surge to critically hit. This cannot occur more than once every 10 seconds.
