In our list of SWTOR Vanguard abilities, we will be going over all of the abilities unique to the Vanguard class as well as give you a complete list of the best uses for these abilities. This way, you can better understand in what situations you can use these abilities to benefit your character.

SWTOR Vanguard Abilities List – Tactics

The Tactics branch consists of abilities which are suited for close-range combat. These abilities are generally melee attacks and focus on dealing damage.

Once the game comes closer to release, we will have a complete abilities list up for you to look at. For now, we only have access to a single ability:

Gut: Deals burst damage up-front then causes a mild bleeding effect for the next 6 seconds which deals damage over time.

Star Wars The Old Republic Abilities List – Shield Specialist

The Shield Specialist is a tanking class which excels at increasing its HP and defenses. This allows it to handle tough bosses, including the bosses that you will encounter in Operations (raids). The talents of this class include:

Adrenaline Rush: Increases the Vanguard’s max HP by 30% for 15 seconds. You will lose this extra health once the effect wears off (i.e. if you gain 3000 HP from using this spell, you will lose 3000 HP at the end of the spell’s duration).

SWTOR Vanguard Abilities – Assault Specialist

The SWTOR Vanguard has access to the Assault Specialist’s abilities, just like the Commando. Since these are shared between both the advanced classes of the Trooper, we have gone ahead and put up a list of these abilities on our SWTOR Trooper abilities list.
